Joel Searby – Activating the Sane and Sacred Center in America
Is There A “Radical Middle” – And If So, How Do We Get There?
Aired Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with independent political consultant Joel Searby, “Better For America”
“There are no sides only angles, and when we see it from the right angle, we are all on the same side.” — Swami Beyondananda
The Presidential Campaign has often been characterized as a popularity contest, and a beauty pageant. However, if we think back to the 2016 campaign, featuring two of the least-liked candidates in history, it might better be called an unpopularity contest and an ugly pageant. Indeed, as my wife and I traveled the country that summer, the question everyone was asking was, “So … who are you voting against?”
Now four years later, not much has changed. We are facing a contest between a candidate who has sold his soul to the devil – and another who is just renting his. Now I exaggerate, but not much. When every four years, the voter is forced to choose whichever they perceive is the “lesser evil,” they are still voting for an evil at worst, an unsatisfactory choice at best.
And yet, most Americans – and 90% of millennials – are clamoring for an alternative to this two-party polarity that keeps dysfunction in place. Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Joel Searby, has been treading this middle ground. In 2016, he managed Evan McMullin’s independent campaign for President. McMullin – a never-Trump Republican — did manage to get 21% of the vote in his home state of Utah. Since that time, Joel Searby has worked on several campaigns for independent candidates who are both dedicated to reform and working across party lines.
Joel Searby is a veteran consultant with over 10 years’ experience in the realm of political campaigning, government affairs, corporate and non-profit strategic planning, leadership development, and faith-based initiatives. Joel has worked with campaigns and organizations across a wide spectrum of sizes and resources – from local candidates for office to managing a presidential campaign and from small trade associations with a few thousand members to some of the largest with over a hundred thousand members and multi-million dollar budgets.
He and his wife Jen spent 6 months of their first year of marriage living in Santiago, Chile serving with a church plant and working with young mothers, kids, drug addicts and others in a rough part of the city. Both are fluent in Spanish and have traveled extensively in Central and South America.
So, the question is … is there a sane and sacred center in America? Can we work together, as most Americans seem to want? How do we reform or reformulate a system that has been consistently resistant to change? How do we assert our political will when faced with a binary choice … the evil of two lessers? And how do we assert political will in between elections so that we have better choices?
Please join us for an enlightening discussion, this Tuesday, April 28th 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Andrew Saul – Mainstream Media Is Dissing and Dismissing Vitamin C
And How We Can Create a “C” Change
Aired Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Andrew Saul, World Authority on Vitamin C and Founder of Doctoryourself.com
“The truth shall upset you free.”
— Swami Beyondananda
Two weeks ago there was a report that high-dose intravenous Vitamin C was being used to successfully treat COVID-19 patients in New York. According to the article, “The patients received 1,500 milligrams of intravenous vitamin C, which is sixteen times the National Institutes of Health’s recommended daily dietary allowance of vitamin C. The 1,500-milligram dose was administered three or four times per day.” They were apparently following a protocol that had been successful in China.
Yet, at around the same time, as today’s guest Andrew Saul will tell us, the World Health Organization instructed Facebook to de-platform anyone promoting Vitamin C as a treatment, or even as a way of enhancing immune function.
What’s going on here? Are holistic treatments being intentionally discouraged or repressed? Is Vitamin C in those high doses dangerous?
Fortunately we have Andrew Saul to help us clear the air, so that we can become better informed and assert our public will to make sure natural medicine is not extinguished through mass-fear and information manipulation.
Andrew W. Saul is Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, and is on the Advisory Board to the International Intravenous Vitamin C China Epidemic Medical Support Team. He was on the faculty of the State University of New York for nine years, and taught nutrition, health science and cell biology at the college level. Saul has studied in Africa and Australia, holds three state certificates in science education, and has twice won New York Empire State Fellowships for teaching.
Andrew Saul was inducted into the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame in 2013. He has been honored with the Riordan Clinic’s Pearlmaker Award, Citizens for Health Outstanding Health Freedom Activist Award, and was named one of seven natural health pioneers by Psychology Today. He is the author, coauthor or editor of 25 books, four written with Abram Hoffer, MD. Andrew Saul is featured in the movies FOODMATTERS and THAT VITAMIN MOVIE. He is on Facebook as “themegavitaminman.” His free-access, peer-reviewed website is http://www.doctoryourself.com/.
If you are ready for an eye-opening conversation about the proven therapeutic uses of Vitamin C, how and why it has been repressed by mainstream medicine, and what you can do about it, you’ll want to tune in this Tuesday, April 21st 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Misa Hopkins and Stephanie James – How Women Reclaim Their Souls From Sexual Abuse
Healing the Patterns of Domination Heals Us All
Aired Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Misa Hopkins and Stephanie James, Co-Hosts of the Women Emerging Summit
“It’s time to evolve from a state of emergency to a state of emergent seeing.’” — Swami Beyondananda
The #METOO movement enabled women to acknowledge and share stories of sexual abuse. The movement has moved mountains of dismissal and denial, not to mention ending the careers of several notable serial predators. And … now what?
Now that the stories are revealed, how do women heal?
Keeping in mind that the definition of healing means “restoring wholeness” how do those traumatized become whole again? And … how do we heal the whole story, the thousands of years of dominate-or-be-dominated culture? How do we acknowledge the discounting and oppression of the feminine, and the price we have paid for it? (Hint: Our dominator species is about to weave itself outside the web of life.)
Our guests this week, Misa Hopkins and Stephanie James have brought together teachers, healers, therapists, and other wise luminaries in an online summit called Women Emerging: Reclaiming Our Souls from Sexual Abuse. The intention of the weekend is to “Go from surviving to thriving with this unique psycho-spiritual approach to healing from sexual abuse and permanently remove abuse patterns from your energy field.”
Misa Hopkins is a pioneer in the field of Feminine Consciousness and is a 5-times bestselling author. Her life is dedicated to the personal and planetary healing that comes with balanced consciousness. She has appeared on major television networks and has spoken at events with such luminaries as Deepak Chopra, Arielle Ford, Dr. Tom O’Bryan, and me! Misa is the Director of the News Dream Foundation, currently sponsoring the event, Women Emerging: Reclaiming Our Souls from Sexual Abuse.
Stephanie James is a psychotherapist, a dynamic public speaker, and published author with nearly 30 years experience in the mental health field. As the host of The Spark radio and podcast, she has interviewed such luminaries as Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Larry Dossey, Dr. Rick Hanson, Dr. Jacob Lieberman and me. She is the creative visionary and host of The Spark Summit, a gathering of today’s thought leaders in the areas of psychology, spirituality, and science, designed to help people break through limiting beliefs and behaviors and live their best lives.
If you are in the process of healing from sexual trauma – or know someone who is – you’ll want to tune in this Tuesday, April 14th 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Arthur Peña and Jacob Hess – Can We Disagree Without Becoming Enemies?
Beyond Understanding and Empathy to Collaborating and “Co-Resisting”
Aired Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Arthur Peña and Jacob Hess, Co-Authors (with Randall Charles Paul) of “Inevitable Influencers: Why (deep down) We All Want—and Need—to Persuade Each Other of What We See as Good, Beautiful, and True
“Q. How do I end an argument with someone I disagree with?
A. Tell them, ‘You’re absolutely right. And so am I.’”
— Swami Beyondananda
A gay Marxist Spanish teacher and a Mormon mindfulness practitioner walk into a bar – and that is NOT a joke.
Despite seemingly opposite backgrounds, Arthur Peña and Jacob Hess have not only become friends, but also collaborators. And they have done so by boldly speaking their truths with, and listening to, one another. At a time when people are de-platformed and “canceled” for speaking their truth and political correctness is proving itself politically incorrect, how DO we use our differences in a dynamic and transformational way?
My guests this week Arthur Peña and Jacob Hess, are the co-authors along with Randall Charles Paul of an upcoming book, “Inevitable Influencers: Why (deep down) We All Want—and Need—to Persuade Each Other of What We See as Good, Beautiful, and True”. (Wow. What a title. With a title that long, who needs a book?)
Truth, beauty and goodness – as Plato stated and Rudolf Steiner reiterated – are the manifest expressions of love. And while love may be universal, love’s expressions are diverse. And while there’s a part of us who want to pretend these our differences can be glossed over, in doing so we miss out on the power of genuine engagement.
Here is a quote from their book introduction:
Without authentic conversation across our differences— with a genuine (albeit sometimes wary) openness to mutual persuasion—we fear we’ll be missing something very profound and precious. That’s why we argue here for the importance—for the vital necessity even—of “collaborative contestation among rivals” as we sometimes like to call it.
Arthur Peña is a semi-retired teacher of Spanish and English as a Second Language. He has an M.A. in linguistics from the University of Iowa, and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Sonoma State University. Specializing in dialogue between liberals and conservatives, Arthur is a member of the National Coalition of Dialogue & Deliberation, and has organized and facilitated public discussion forums on controversial political issues, as well as a number of ongoing local Living Room Conversations.
Jacob Hess is a mindfulness teacher and writer focused on exploring long-term, sustainable healing from depression. He is on the board of the National Coalition of Dialogue & Deliberation and co-author of “You’re Not as Crazy as I Thought, But You’re Still Wrong” – and has a passion for preserving space for people to disagree sharply, while still loving and respecting each other. He has a Ph.D. in clinical-community psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
If you’re curious about how we move we can learn to disagree without becoming enemies, and shift from polite understanding and empathy to dynamic collaboration and “co-resisting”, please join us this Tuesday, April 7th 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Gerald Posner – Strung Out On Drugs
Greed, Lies and the Poisoning of America
Aired Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with investigative journalist Gerald Posner, author of “Pharma: Greed, Lies and the Poisoning of America”
“The way the pharmaceutical industry has profited off our illnesses is enough to make you sick.” — Swami Beyondananda
With the Coronavirus front and center in the news, and with talk of how quickly a vaccine can be developed and by whom, national and international attention is being focused on the pharmaceutical industry. So who better to have on Wiki Politiki Radio this week than the man who wrote the book – literally – on big pharma, investigative journalist Gerald Posner the author of “Pharma: Greed, Lies and the Poisoning of America”.
Gerald Posner was at age 23 one of the youngest attorneys ever hired by the Wall Street law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. A Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (1975), he was an Honors Graduate of Hastings Law School (1978), where he served as the Associate Executive Editor for the Law Review. He is co-founder of Posner and Ferrara, a public interest law firm, where a pro bono legal representation on behalf of surviving twins of Nazi experiments at the Auschwitz death camp led him to coauthor his first book in 1986, MENGELE: The Complete Story, a bestselling and critically acclaimed biography of the infamous Nazi “Angel of Death,” Dr. Josef Mengele.
He is also author of Case Closed on the Kennedy assassination, Killing the Dream about the Martin Luther King assassination and God’s Bankers, which chronicles the history of money and power at the Vatican.
He has been a freelance writer on investigative issues for several news magazines, and a regular contributor to NBC, the History Channel, CNN, FOX News, CBS, and MSNBC. He lives in Miami Beach with his wife, author, Trisha Posner, who works on all his projects.
Join us for a lively and in depth conversation about how the unbridled profit motive has sparked the opioid crisis, and what we can expect from the pharmaceutical industry in the times of coronavirus this Tuesday, March 31st 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Duncan Campbell – From Big Brother to Bigger Brotherhood
The Opportunity In Our Current Crisis
Aired Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Duncan Campbell, Comprehensivist and Host of Living Dialogues Radio
“We know a paradigm is bankrupt when reality checks start bouncing like crazy.” — Swami Beyondananda
The current COVID-19 crisis is making these feel like “apocalyptic” times, and as you may know the original meaning of apocalypse is “the lifting of the veils.” Indeed, the veils are being lifted on the fundamental weakness of our “too big to fail” economic – and political – system, that seems to be teetering if not toppling under the weight of this crisis.
Add to this a President who blatantly lies and then demands these lies be accepted as truth, and we truly have a shituation.
This “up-is-down” and “down-is-up” rhetoric and impropaganda is certainly reminiscent of Orwell’s “1984.” As to why it has taken so long for 1984 to manifest in reality, the Swami has an answer: The Republicans are 35 years behind the times.
So, do we say, “Ah well, all’s well that ends Orwell”? Or do we see if we can overgrow Big Brother by fully activating “bigger brotherhood”?
Our guest today, Duncan Campbell, has been tracking the path of “newspeak” for years, and through his Living Dialogues Radio Show he has conversed with literally hundreds of visionaries, illuminaries and solutionaries of our time, from Senator Boren of Oklahoma and Governor Inslee of Washington, to teachers like Deepak Chopra and Jean Houston, to leading edge doctors like Larry Dossey and Andrew Weil (hey, there’s a paradox!) to economists, sociologists, scientists, and entertainers like Judy Collins and Richie Havens. In the process, he has gleaned a wealth of information, and as a synthesizer and contextualizer, and has cultivated knowledge and wisdom.
A graduate of both Harvard and Yale Law Schools, he has been a participant in several world historical events, including the unusual distinction of being the only person to have participated in Woodstock 1969 and in the “Second Russian Revolution” on the barricades defending Yeltsin in front of the Russian White House Parliament building in Moscow on the night of August 20-21, 1991.
In the last 45 years he has gained extensive experience in the fields of psychology, philosophy, spirituality, law, business, finance, politics, communications and teaching, presenting in a variety of formal and informal venues, including the Presidential Showcase at the American Bar Association, Haskell Indian Nations University, and in Europe, Brazil, Russia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mexico, Canada, Peru, and teaching courses for credit at Harvard College and the JFK Institute of Politics while a student at Harvard Law School.
There is much more I could say but this is only an hour radio show!
The focus of our freewheeling conversation is how we move from our current ideological “lockdown” to access our collective wisdom for the greater good and benefit of each and all … from Big Brother to Bigger Brotherhood.
If you’re ready to be educated, stimulated, and inspired, please tune in this Tuesday, March 24th 2-3 pm. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

We Find Our Lifeboats By Shifting From Domination to Collaboration
Aired Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Psychotherapist, Author and Men’s Health Expert Jed Diamond
“We’re all in the same boat. The Titanic is sinking. And the lifeboat is the love boat.” — Swami Beyondananda
In many ways, our top-heavy civilization seems like a sinking ship, and the current coronavirus crisis is just – please pardon the awful analogy – the tip of the iceberg.
This current crisis is apocalyptic – in the original meaning of the word, “the lifting of the veils.” The veils are being lifted on the me-first culture and our me-first President, and more specifically we are seeing that the dominate-or-be-dominated worldview is obsolete and obsolethal.
Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Jed Diamond, is an expert on men’s health and how we can use both the masculine warrior energy and the feminine nurturer energy to face and embrace the challenges of this new reality.
Jed Diamond, Ph.D., is the Founder and Director of Men Alive, a health program that helps men live long and well. Jed is the author of 17 books including his latest, My Distant Dad: Healing the Family Father Wound (Lasting Impact Press, 2018).
Jed’s previous books include: The Enlightened Marriage: The 5 Transformative Stages of Relationships and Why the Best is Still to Come … The Irritable Male Syndrome and 12 Rules For Good Men. He has been on the Board of Advisors of the Men’s Health Network since its inception in 1992. He is also a member of the International Society of Men’s Health and a founding member of the American Society of Men’s Health. He blogs for the ThirdAge, Huffington Post, BeliefNet, Scribd, and other venues. He is the only male columnist who blogs for the National Association of Baby Boomer Women.

Veronica Monet – The Surprising Truth About “Sex Trafficking”
How Our “Myth-Perceptions” May Be Leading Us Down the Wrong Track
Aired Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Sexologist, Coach and Author Veronica Monet
“You people who insist on shaming people because of their sexual practices – you should be ashamed of yourselves!” — Swami Beyondananda
Sex trafficking – everyone agrees it’s bad, right?
Well, that depends on what you imagine “sex trafficking” to mean. If the term conjures up innocent women and children being sold into a life of sexual exploitation and slavery, then we all should be against it. But what if “sex trafficking” actually applies to ANY sex for money, with mutual consent?
Our guest on Wiki Politiki, Veronica Monet, is a one-time sex worker who is now a “sexual empowerment change agent” whose website, “The Shame Free Zone” offers “a safe place to explore feelings of shame without being judged.” As someone who sees her own career as a highly paid escort as an expression of self-empowerment, she has a unique and enlightening perspective on how what we imagine “sex trafficking” to be has created more repression, confusion and shame – and doesn’t really address where sexual abuse (and pedophilia) originate: inside the family structure.
Having grown up in a right-wing Christian cult, herself an incest and rape survivor, Veronica brings a rich history and perspective to the highly-politicized and highly-charged issues that involve all aspects of sexuality. Veronica Monet has appeared on CNN, FOX, Politically Incorrect, and presented at Yale, Stanford and UC Berkeley. She is the author of Sex Secrets of Escorts and the soon to be published Love, Lust and Romance in the Wake of #MeToo, and she is creator of the Exquisite Partnership Formula, a program designed to turn conflict into connection and sex that gets better with each passing year.
Regarding her own choice to become a sex worker, Veronica writes:
I didn’t enter into becoming a high-end escort lightly. As a college graduate who spent seven years working in corporate settings, and as someone who had been clean and sober for a number of years, I questioned whether this was in integrity with my spiritual path. Rather than refer to conventional thinking on the matter, I turned to my innermost knowing and quite frankly prayed my ass off. As well, a great deal of research and training went into my decision and because of this deliberate planning I enjoyed a very successful fourteen years in the profession.
If you’re curious about how an intelligent and spiritually-aware woman chose to become a sex worker, and are ready to explore how the public is being manipulated and misled by both religious and secular institutions, please join us this Tuesday, March 10th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

A Middle East Expert Weighs in On the Conflict in the “Middle West”
Aired Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with USF Professor and Middle East Scholar Stephen Zunes
“It’s time for the Democratic Party to become democratic.” — Swami Beyondananda
With Bernie Sanders surging into the lead as we come to Super Tuesday, the “stop Bernie” forces on the moderate side insist that Bernie can’t win in November. But, what if he is the ONLY candidate who can truly overwhelm Trump?
Can his movement of young people inspired to vote counterbalance those “moderate Republicans” who might switch from Trump to either a Biden or a Bloomberg?
Weighing in on this issue on Wiki Politiki Radio is scholar and Middle East scholar Stephen Zunes, who recently wrote a piece for Truthout debunking the idea that a progressive candidate cannot win the general election. Zunes, who as a teenager worked for the George McGovern campaign, insists the comparison between McGovern, who lost in a landslide, and Sanders holds no water.
Dr. Stephen Zunes is a Professor of Politics and International Studies at the University of San Francisco, where he serves as coordinator of the program in Middle Eastern Studies. Recognized as one the country’s leading scholars of U.S. Middle East policy and of strategic nonviolent action, Professor Zunes serves as a senior policy analyst for Foreign Policy in Focus project of the Institute for Policy Studies, an associate editor of Peace Review, and a contributing editor of Tikkun.
And speaking of the Middle East, I’m sure our guest will have something to say about Bernie’s approach to Israel and Palestine – in sharp contrast to the other leading candidates.
If you want to go deeper into Bernie’s appeal, U.S. policy on the Middle East, and why the Democratic Party establishment is so hell-bent against Bernie please tune in this Tuesday, March 3rd at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

Carol Smaldino – Is Political Climate Change An Inside Job? – How Our “Human Climate” Feeds Political Discourse … and Discord
Aired Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM EST
Interview with Carol Smaldino, Psychotherapist and Author of “The Human Climate: Facing the Divisions Inside Us and Between Us”
“There are no sides, only angles. And when we see it from the right angle, we’re all on the same side.” — Swami Beyondananda
With political discourse and political discord nearly synonymous, and with the phenomenon of “fake news” – where facts take a backseat to emotionally-fueled beliefs — maybe it’s time we look at the fact that feelings make more of a difference than facts do. Might this highly-charged politics “out there” have something to do with the emotional terrain “in here”?
Our guest this week, psychotherapist Carol Smaldino thinks so … she has written a book that speaks directly to the stormy political climate, “The Human Climate: Facing the Divisions Inside Us and Between Us”, that examines the role of emotions in our political landscape, both in politicians and in the diverse populations and issues that make up this landscape.
As someone who speaks with and listens to “both” sides, what’s clear to me is that for the most part, each side sees the other side’s shadow – but not its own. Combine this with each side constantly receiving, embracing, and absorbing information that reinforces what they already “know” to be true. I know, I know. The other side is much more that way than we are. (Exactly what the other side is saying about us.)
All of which means it’s time for a “meta-conversation” where we become aware of and integrate our feelings so we don’t have to project them on to the other, and we become more aware of what pushes our buttons – and how to stay less susceptible to manipulation.
