What is the overall lesson that we are experiencing? Is there always a silver lining to every experience? How to make the best of each experience?

Susan Rowlen is a Native Chicagoan, Raised on Chicago’s Northwest side as a child. Susan did not have a conventional childhood. From the age of 6, Spirit singled her out and set in motion her journey to provide healing, clarity and guidance. Blessed with the gifts of seeing the Past, Present and Future, Susan has been in constant contact with spirits, voices and visions in order to help others make sense of their lives. In her early life, Susan chose to use her unique gifts selectively to help those close to her as well as local officials and businesses in need of direction. However, she soon became aware that she possessed rare and valuable gifts which should be used for the greater good. Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, Ph.D., was raised in an American family in Hollywood, California, and graduated from Stanford University. This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Dependent Person. The Dependent Person has significant difficulty exercising control and influence over what is taking place in their life. They have little trust in themselves and often look to others for guidance. They question their own judgment and decision-making. Often, wanting others to tell them what to say, think, or do. They are excellent candidates to be exploited, manipulated, or abused. People can readily take over their life, as they readily give away power easily, not even realizing they have it to begin with. They often believe they aren’t entitled to assume or allowed to take control over their own life. They are also excellent at accepting blame for things that were not truly of their own making.

During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of Lower ego Power on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Dependent Person. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Dependent Person is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their Lower ego Power energy and their mind. Many of them, the Dependent Person is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. I’ll also be looking at what their ego energy is doing to block the Dependent Person from hearing the voice of spirit which is rooted in their Divinity. An inability to recognize the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their being, due to the great distance being created by their ego energy. When the Dependent Person is able to “hear” the mistruths contained within ego’s voice and the truths in spirit’s voice, the door to transformation can open, and the days of living in the role of Dependent Person can be ended.
